The Girl with the Red Cap - Part 1

Now I have been working on this project for months in-between my free time. Really loving. So many challenges and colours.

My cross stitch design has been taken from the picture below.

It is all about the ladies, girls growing into women. I was a young women who absolutely loved wearing her baseball cap low down till you hardly see my eyes.

Starting with a plain white aida fabric, I began. Bought my threads from thread / fabric shop, I decided that I needed 3D look the finalise my cross stitch picturistic pattern. To make her hair to look afro, beautiful, lush with bounce and volume I used DMC thread 'DMC Pearl' which has that extra thickness.

I want it to look and feel brilliant!
